This book was very well written. All the stories posted by teenagers like me, alllowed myself to open up to what they were explaining about. Pretty much what Im saying is this book is a great read. And it can really remind you of who you are.

I thought I was going to hate this book, but I actually found it very inspiring at times. Some of the stories made me cry and others made me laugh out loud. It was a good reminder of how glad I am not to be a teen, but at the same time I realized how much more life there is to live. I would

The Book I read over the past three weeks was Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul : A 101 Stories if Life, Love and Learning. This book is about the stories of what teenagers go through and the peer pressure that they are trying to handle; the force of drugs and their friends death. Also how they

just wish their parents will pay attention. There was this girl named Sara in one of the stories. She went to this party ; A 21 and over party and she knew she was couldnt go but thats all everyone at school was talking about and her mom told her she couldn't go. So later on that when everyone was sleeping at her house she friends came to pick her up to go to the party just two blocks away and then everyone who was in the car got drunk. No one couldnt drive. And then when the party was over all of them knew that they couldn't drive and while they were driving just a block away the driver doze off and an two other cars crash into them and the car flip up side down and Sara and her two other friends die instanly. The police was called by the two others drivers ; police was there within five mintues and the police had got hold of their parents and there was really nothing that they can do that how you know that its horrible to drink and drive

a great addition to the phenomenal Soup collection. Chicken Soup's never a disappointment, and has earned its rights to be child's best friend when there's no one around to talk to.

Tough Topics: people consider suicide, love, life, sorrow.
Over the last few weeks I’ve been reading Chicken Noodle Soup for the Teenage Soul. In this book there are no story lines or characters there are only stories of people’s love, life and family. My favorite was a poem

called “Listen” by an anonymous writer. I liked it, because it was about someone who had a friend who would only give them advice when they asked them to listen. My least favorite was a poem called “Mamma’s Hands” by another anonymous writer. I did not like it, because it was comparing two women’s hands, rich, and poor.
Teenagers who need a good read or just some advice should consider this book. This book offers advice and guidance. These poems and stories inspired me and helped me understand the other ways of life. In the section on love and kindness I feel that’s more like a thing for girls, but family and wellness is more for boys and girls. There isn’t really a section for boys in this book, it’s all mainly for girls, I think.
I would give this book a 4, because I didn’t like all of the other sections besides love and kindness. This section had some great stories and some great poems as well. Another reason I give this book a four is because it didn’t have chapters or any storylines you had to follow. This book is easy to read.

i'm not trying to invalidate the stories themselves but the writing is crap. these people have been through tough times but its hard to take them seriously when the writing is so bad.
i read and re-read this book trying to find out what the big deal was but the only thing i found was sucky writing skills and quite a few cliche stories...

I really don't care for any of the Chicken Soup books, but I got this as I gift. I have read three of them, and it seems that they are all the same.

Compilation of stories about young love and getting through tough times

While this collection of short vignettes is solid, some of the stories are a little outdated, perhaps not surprising given it was published in 1997. For example, there is a story about parents not being able to get in touch with their child, when now they’d just call their cell phone. Most of the

essays are well-written and inspirational, but to read them all at once made me a bit numb because they pull on the heartstrings.

One essay, “Like People First,” caught my attention. The theme had to do with people’s projections on each other, and how if you want people to like you, like them. Since reading this, I’ve taken that advice and been friendly to people I was sure did not care for me, and surprisingly enough was rewarded by smiles and conversations. Another essay, “No-Hair Day,” about a young woman who, in the midst of a successful high school experience, lost her hair to a disease, inspired me to be grateful for what I have. Finally, “Mrs. Virginia DeView, Where Are you” reminded me that, as an educator, I never know how what I do will affect someone in the future, and that they won’t always be able to tell me, but that I probably do good things.

Students still check this book out of my library and talk to me about its contents. While the book feels dated, as mentioned above, many of the stories of love, family, suicide, break-ups, and friendship still apply to teens today.

This book is great for anyone over the age of 12, but not recommended for younger children, as they are unlikely to be able to relate to the themes presented.

The Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul is a great book with many touching stories that will inspire people around the world. This book is filled with many touching stories that are in many aspects of a teen's life such as puberty, romance, and friendship just to name a few. Many morals or life

lessons can be learned from this book and you can be sure to cry at least once because some of these stories are just that touching to the heart. This book is a couple of hundred pages long and the stories are each a couple of pages long. This book has multiple sections with each section having a theme such as friendship. This organizes the book in a way such that you can read stories about what you want to read though it is still preferable to read the entire book from left to right. All in all, this book is phenomenal and I would recommend this book to anyone.
