Fly with Me to Another World Project: Public Art In(ter)vention

Issued as a consequence of the "Fly with Me to Another World" art project which commenced in 1999 and which was initiated by Navin Rawanchaikul, a Thai artist who was inspired by the journey of pioneer Thai artist, Inson Wongsam. Included are contributions from artists, critics, academics, curators, directors of art spaces and grassroots organisers. Topics addressed include: Does art have a responsibility to engage with the public? What responsibility do artists have to the communities in which they work?
