Description
Mountaineer Jack Furness comes across a fossilized fragment of skull in Nepal which defies classification. With Stella, he sets off to discover other skeletons, or even living examples of the fabled yeti. What they discover has chilling consequences for Jack and Stella.

Pretty good. I think that the relationship between Jack and Swift is a bit of a stretch. In real life I don’t think that 2 people could be so disinterested in commitment and remain a couple. In any case, they do find the yeti, actually a missing-link type creature living in an enclave of mild

weather and vegetation in the Himalayas. The bit about who was the government spy had me going for a while; then when he was revealed it seemed obvious even though I didn’t guess. At the end when everyone just leaves them alone, destroying any way in or out of the enclave, I thought that was a bit of a stretch. Especially for a Berkley anthropologist bent on publishing significant work and a hotshot, world famous mountain climber. I don’t think either of them could quiet their egos for long about this.
