Interesting but very thin booklet containing the report of a search within Anglo-Saxon writings for the original Anglo-Saxon deities and customs . The author uses several sources: mythical ancestry of the nobility, Anglo-saxon texts for educational or medical purposes and the Anglo-Saxon heroic
The book is a nice and easy read, with many original fragments in Old English, an extensive source and reference list and several historical maps. It is a shame , however, that the story is suddenly finished: no overall conclusions or summary is provided.

The story not only offers fascinating reconstruction into Anglo-Saxon history but alos provides a tantalizing glimpse into the pagan religious life of that time, as well as its attitude to magic and magic users.The book is a nice and easy read, with many original fragments in Old English, an extensive source and reference list and several historical maps.
