A nice glossy coffee-table book of all the dirty bits found in the excavations of Pompeii. The first half of the text is simply a very nice overview of the history and lifeways of Pompeii itself, which does not erase the sexual contents but also does not emphasize them; the second half is a catalog

of artifacts from the "secret collection" of items judged too sexual to be on permanent display. There are lots and lots of well-captioned, gorgeous photographs of artifacts not frequently scene, and overall it's a lovely collection.
