This is, hands down, the best book on practical, modern Heathenry that I have read, and the one that I would recommend to anyone wanting to learn more about Heathenry. It literally has every bit of basic knowledge one would need to start or maintain their religious practice, beginning with the

Heathen worldview, the Gods and Goddesses, the otherworldly wights, the rites, crafting Heathen garb and accessories, plus a handy appendix full of extra study info and sources. And all of this book is blissfully free of racism or homophobia, *and* presents Heathenry as a viable religious practice for both men and women. His writing style is both entertaining and informative. The only aspect of Heathenry that Gundarsson doesn't tackle heavily in this book (though they are discussed briefly) is runestaves, but he does describe them in depth in one of his other books (Teutonic Magic) so, hey, buy them both. The only problem that I have with "Teutonic Religion" is that it's been out of print for so long! Hopefully, it will be re-released at some point and the world will be a better place for it. What a great source of information about Heathenism and Odinism. Lots of information that covers a wide variety of questions. Even extras that are good to have as resource in one book. I don't know why this book is out of print. It should not be. It should be available to all who are interested in
