Description

This book describes and illustrates each tomb, the archaeological structures and the decorations of the temples in the Valley of the Kings. The Valley of the Kings is an area in Egypt where, for a period of nearly 500 years from the 16th to 11th century BC, tombs and temples were constructed for the pharaohs, powerful nobles, and deities of the New Kingdom (the Eighteenth to the Twentieth Dynasties of Ancient Egypt). The author has included photographs of key features, satellite photos of "The Valley", local maps, detailed valley images, 3-D plans of tomb layouts with close-ups of sections of wall details, cartouches, and other special features.
