Local notes
A posthumously-published set of occult short stories by Doreen Valiente. Enjoyable, but somewhat derivative of the Secrets of Dr. Taverner by Dion Fortune. It concerns the friendship and training of a younger man by a retired antiques dealer/ magician, but is interesting in that it gives some idea of what learning from Doreen may have been like. -AMK
