Local notes
Anna purchased this at PantheaCon 2019. Having lived in the Pacific NW, I am familiar with the trees covered in this book. I really like the author's approach. For each of the trees, she starts with an extensive review of mostly European folklore, some Native American folklore and uses, Medicinal Uses, and then the author's personal magical uses. The Herbal is arranged by season. There is also a section on the techniques of practical herbalism. One unusual practice Boyer recommends is using animal fats instead of oils for making infused oils and salves. This is a very Witchy book!
