Description

In this profoundly personal journey through British history, Martin Wall traces the influence of Magic and Myth from the earliest times to the present day. Local notes

A book both charming and infuriating, since some of its historical comments are not very deep or knowing and rely on common knowledge that is incorrect, such as Gardner allegedly being a sado-masochist, or piecing Wiccan texts together from Thelemic sources. The author is devoted to the Goddess, and includes many references to her powers throughout British history.
