The author superseded his training in mechanistic biology to explore a more inclusive kind of science.

This is a fascinating read for any pet owners (or "pet staff" in the case of cats). It is even more thought-provoking if you have ever felt a special connection with one of your pets. As an aside, considering the author's pedigree, I think that his concept of "morphic resonance" should be taken

seriously by the scientific establishment. Humans don't know all there is to know about the world.
