Michael DePasquale, Jr., holds a third degree black belt in the ancient discipline of Hakko-ryu ju jitsu, the subject of his Monarch Illustrated Guide to Ju Jitsu. He frequently conducts workshops and lectures on ju jitsu at community colleges, high schools, and adult education and community centers. While his specialty remains ju jitsu, Mr. DePasquale also enjoys judo and karate and has competed in tournaments in both. In addition, he teaches regularly at Dojo Yoshitsune in Closter, New Jersey.
