Library's review

John Stone's years of study in the Far East, coming after careers in music and finance, gave him the background for the spiritual books that he writes. His friendships with these teachers led to years of teaching t'ai chi ch'uan, after which he originated t'ai chi chih (not a martial art), a

spiritual discipline that is rapidly spreading throughout the world. His spoken tapes, on spiritual adventures in the Far East and on t'ai chi chih, as well as his jazz piano tapes, have been welcomed by many. To Justin, the basis of all this (and his career as a modern painter) is his own spiritual practice. Seven days of meditation a week at his house, with doors open to seekers, and frequent public talks on metaphysical subjects help spread Dharma for those who are ready. Justin says he is overwhelmed by the gratitude of those who have practiced with him. He has never taken money from any of his many t'ai chi chih teachers, feeling his job is to pass on whatever he knows.
