Grandmaster Tae Yun Kim, 4' 11', 90 lbs., begain to train in the martial arts at the age of seven, a practice at that time forbidden to women in her native Korea. Overcoming physical, mental, and social obstacles to achieve goals that others told her were impossible, she founded the art of Jung SuWon--which means 'the way of uniting body, mind, and spirit in total harmony.' At her academy in the San Francisco Bay Area, she leads classes, and coaches Olympic athletes and corporate executives in personal training sessions. She is a recipient of the Susan B. Anthony award.

She began at the age of seven, learning ancient, traditional methods of Gi-energy development in the solitude of the mountains.

To Grandmaster, teaching is everything. It is her food, her breath, her life. At 45, Grandmaster Kim has spent a lifetime passing on to others the wisdom and power she gained at an early age. She leads classes at her school in California, works one-on-one in private counseling sessions, and personally reviews student journals.

Grandmaster Kim coaches world class athletes and corporate executives in personalized, intensive training programs.
