Dr. Ronald Knaus has been in private practice in the Tampa Bay area of Florida since 1973. He was one of the founders of Tampa Bay Academy, a 100 bed residential treatment center for children and adolescents. As Medical Director of the Adacemy for ten yeaers, he became known as 'Dr. Ron'. He has worked with professional and amateur athletes for the past twenty years becoming board certified in Sports Medicine in 1977.

Dr. Ron was board certified in Psychiatry in 1976. For two years he was host of a local television program called 'Open to Recovery.' He has been a visiting professor at the West Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine for many years. Presently he is in private practice in Seminole, Florida. He is currently developing a psychiatric rotation for medical students. He lectures on stress, depression and A B Chi.
