Warrener has written several articles for international publications, as well as starring in his own television series.

In 1973, and 1981 he broke a world record for breaking bricks and boards. In 1968 he won the Canadian Karate Champonships, while in 1973 both kata and kumite titles were his at the Eastern Canadian Championships, while in 1973 both kata and kumite titles were his at the Eastern Canadian Championships.

Don Warrener has been taught by some of the best in the world, incuding Benny Allen, Bob Dalgleish, Frank Lee, Dom Lopez and the legendary Gogen Yamaguichi, who had a small but important part in Mr. Warrener's Martial Arts education. And, of course, the one man he gives credit to for teaching him more about the Martial arts than any other, the famous philosopher and Martial Artist, Richard Kim of San Francisco.
