the United States way back in 1904. Imagine learning authentic Japanese Ju Jitsu techniques from the worlds oldest Japanese Ju-Jitsu Course ever assembled. Imagine learning this breakthrough curriculum not shared anywhere else that you can instantly add to your Martial Art training regime.

What would this course teach you? What secrets would be shared? What real nuggets of gold would you learn? How would you feel if you missed out on it?

Hi, my name is Jim Fortunato, I've been fortunate enough to train with some of the best grapplers and Jiu-Jitsu experts alive today...and I've learned some truly great techniques from them. However, if a 'genie in a bottle' ever granted me one wish to train with any martial art expert I wanted. I'd 'wish' I could go back in time and train with Master Y.K. Yabe.

The bad news is this can never happen...The good news is I figured out a way to have the next best thing...and so can you!

Major Martial Art Announcement
--The Time Has Come For--
The Re-Release of The Yabe School of Jiu Jitsu!

More than 100 years has past since the original Yabe School of Jiu-Jitsu Training Course was made available to the public by mail order. However, through this exclusive offer, you are invited to join the elite few who have access to this time-capsuled information!

Here's the bottom Line:

The 1904 Yabe School of Jiu-Jitsu is now available to you! All 5 original books were collectively and originally titled: A Course of Instruction in Jiu-Jitsu.

First: I've gone through great length to re-scan, re-publish and include every single photo and piece of text contained in this course. It truly is a unique and rare part of martial art history.

Second: I've spent countless hours studying, training and filming every Yabe Jiu Jitsu technique and training application found in the original course.

This course has several key elements that will make you a better Martial Artist, athlete, competitor and technician:

1. It contains the complete Jiu-Jitsu curriculum as taught by Master Y.K. Yabe! With over 100 detailed lessons and illustrated photos!

2. Secret techniques revealed for the first time in over 100 years! Part of my goal in re-releasing this course is to bring back to you martial art techniques and secret strategies that were thought to be lost forever! By the way the first move alone will make this course worthwhile to you! It's a dynamic way to throw someone that I wish I knew 10 years ago.

3. Your skills will greatly improve! I believe the martial art and ju jitsu masters of our time are so great because they have always continued to learn. They stay 'students of the game'. And as long as you continue to and lear your skills will automatically improve naturally.

4. Tons of training information, techniques and photos! Yabe Jiu-Jitsu students were tough! This whole course is packed with technique after technique! It also includes a look into their extremely disciplined lifestyle. You'll get an inside peek at what it was like to train Yabe style.

5. The opportunity to learn one of the oldest martial art curriculums of all time! In the early 1990's when the Gracie family came to the U.S. they shocked the world with the effectiveness of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu. However, the roots of Jiu-Jitsu in the U.S. trace back way before Helio Gracie. Master Y.K. Yabe was the first pioneer in bringing Jiu Jitsu successfully to the U.S.

Learn Jiu-Jitsu...1904 style!

Master Yae Kichi Yabe announced publicly that Jiu-Jitsu was 'the most wonderful system of physical training and self-defense in the world!' Kinda similar to when Helio Gracie and the Gracie family publicly challenged anyone who would take them on in Brazil. Helio's challenge became known as the 'Gracie Challenge'...I wonder back in 1904 if word got out about the 'Yabe Challenge'?

Master Yabe boldly claimed: 'It is the persistent practice of Jiu-Jitsu that the Japanese owe their courage and success in battle, their almost superhuman strength and power of endurance, their low death rate and their material progress.'
As a martial artist, instructor and collector this got my attention big time!

And I'm sure this system of physical training and self-defense will interest you!

Yabe Jiu Jitsu embodies the ideal principles of attaining perfect health and physical development! 'As a means of self defense Jiu-Jitsu is as potent at short range as the deadliest weapon...and a knowledge of its self-preserving principles renders a man or woman invulnerable to every form of vicious attack.' (Quote taken from Master Y.K. Yabe)

Master Yae Kichi Yabe was from the Ten-Shin Ryu School of Japan. He was the most successful teacher of the art in all of Japan. He was delegated to teach all the secrets of this ancient Japanese art to Americans at the turn of the century.

Master Y.K. Yabe's 1904 Mail Order Course explains and makes clear the principles of his Jiu-Jitsu System in a manner that truly captures the essense of the art during that time. If you want to learn the progression and evolution of Ju Jitsu in the U.S. over the past 100 years this is where it started.

In 1904 Master Y. K. Yabe made this course available so long as the edition lasted. And until now the complete collection was never in the hands of anyone inside the United States. In fact I searched over 3 countries for over a year and a half to be able to bring this martial art treasure to you! Each lesson is fully illustrated and each technique has been filmed and is clearly detailed on the DVD's. The entire collection was carefully reformatted to be able to bring to you the official techniques of the Yabe School of Jiu-Jitsu. You'll get the 5 manuals plus the training DVD's.

Religiously Guarded Secrets Revealed!

At the turn off the century the principles of the Yabe style of Jiu-Jitsu were religiously guarded for over 2,000 years. By an imperial edict the teaching of the system was forbidden outside of Japan. The friendly feeling existing between Japan and the U.S. was the instrumental factor in the release of this system from its oath-bound secrecy. As a result Master Yabe was delegated to teach, without reserve, all the secrets of this ancient art to Americans in the early 1900's.

Yabe Jiu-Jitsu Vol. 1 - 5 are intensely interesting. They explain the principles of Jiu-Jitsu in a very pure way. Because it was written by Yae Kichi Yabe himself there was no outside, American influence. It's really a pure Japanese approach to Ju Jitsu.

The 5 Volume Mail Order course contain illustrations and written descriptions for each lesson. However, sometimes interpreting techniques from books and manuals allow can be a bit of a challenge. So my Yabe Jiu Jitsu DVD's contain even more detail of each Yabe technique. I also include several variations and ways to execute each move. Please keep in mind I've studied these manuals extensively, and have been training in the arts for almost 20 years. With that said, understand that my interpretation of the techniques may be slightly different that what Master Yabe taught.

The bottom line is that since no-one was there is 1904 and there is no film of Yabe in action, we cannot really know every detail of 'his techniques'. What I can tell you is that you will love these DVD's...(my own students do)...In fact you'll see one of them in the DVD's as my partner.

5 Bold Quotes from Master Y.K. Yabe

Quote 1:
'Yabe Jiu-Jitsu embraces a system of physical training, which, without artificial means, develops every muscle and tissue and strengthens every organ in the human body.'

Quote 2:
'Although the Japanese are small in stature, they seemed to possess the most perfect physical development of any nationality. They attributed their wonderful strength and power of endurance solely to the practice of Jiu-Jitsu.'

Quote 3:
'A knowledge of its self-preserving principles makes the timid man bold, courageous and self-reliant.'

Quote 4:
'There are many techniques in this book that will enable a man of average strength to dispose of the most formidable antagonist with an ease and rapidity which is astonishing. Once a person is skilled in the art of the Jiu Jitsu 'holds', it is utterly useless for an opponent to offer resistance.'

Quote 5:
'It makes no difference how unequally matched in size or strength the contestants may be, a knowledge of Jiu Jitsu will enable a child of 14 years old to overcome and render powerless a man of thrice his strength.'

...Master Yabe truly had a way with words...

Master Yae Kichi Yabe was the most successful teacher of the art in all of Japan before he was selected to give instructions in Jiu-Jitsu to Americans by correspondence in 1904.
