'The Shaolin Temple Story' is an excellent book. It is easy to understand, interesting, and inspiring. Abbot Yongxin writes about his understanding of the history of Shaolin through the filter of his Buddhist philosophy. He writes about Shaolin Temple and Shaolin Pagoda Forest. He goes deeply into the essence of Chan (Zen) buddhism philosophically and historically. Chan is another contribution to the interpretaton of Shaolin culture.'--Lou Yulie.
