I started reading this series last year and was immediately hooked. Who was A? And why was A torturing these girls? Well, the answers to these questions were revealed in Wanted, the eighth and final book in the Pretty Little Liars series.

Shepard did a great job with this book. She wrote an
Show More
intricately woven novel that provided history into A’s identity so the reader could understand what exactly motivated A to become A. Early on a twist is introduced into the story that appears to be very random. As the story progresses, the twist starts to makes sense and only adds depth to the mystery. As I read Wanted, my mind flashed back to the previous novels and things quickly fell into place. Things I had missed before suddenly became clear.

Like the first seven novel, Wanted uses the four girls’ history to help move the plot along. Shepard takes us back to the night of the sleepover. The infamous night that Ali disappeared. As each girl thinks about that fateful night, it’s Spencer’s memories that are the most valuable. Memories that will help shed light on what really happened.

As much as I enjoyed Wanted, its ending was bittersweet for me. I loved the Pretty Little Liars series and highly recommended it. It was sad reading the last page knowing the end has come. Thankfully Shepard is working on a new series. The Lying Game, book one, will be released in early December.

So now I know everything. I know what happened to Alison and why, who was behind the A thing and why Hanna, Spencer, Aria and Emily were targeted by A to begin with.

I did get first A but the revelations from the later books in general and this one in particular were completely unexpected. I do like

being surprised. :)

This was a fun book series, and I want to read her new one (which starts in December) and also her other novel, The Visibles.

This is the last book of the pretty little liars series but it is SO good, it was the creepiest thing ever!! I got shivers and at times began to have mini hyperventilating sessions, thats how scary it was. I had my sister come in my room just to sit there while I was in my bead reading my book. I

loved it and you will too.

Wanted is the final book in the Pretty Little Liars 8 book series. The series so far has been quite a ride and this book is no exception. The final book is full of surprises and suspense and addresses many of the major questions hanging over the series.

There were many suspects in the killing of
Show More
Rosewood’s Ali, but who really did the deed? And was Ali dead after all? In the end, I thought the killer’s identity plot device was a bit gimmicky and cliche. I wondered why were the girl’s so trusting of Courtney? Have they learned anything throughout this series? The ending was appropriately dark and creepy and in keeping with the series. I don’t think there were enough clues presented in the series to figure out the ending, but some clues are there if you dig deep enough.

The series overall is highly entertaining for teens and adults alike. I’m glad I read this series and I’m sure it will enhance my enjoyment of the ABC Family series. However, after reading these books back to back I’m ready to move on to something else.

Looking forward to checking out Sara Shepard’s next series beginning with the first book: The Lying Game due December 7.

I was excited and sad to start the last book of the Pretty Little Liars series. In the end I was so shocked at what happened because that was something I didn't even think could be possible. It is a great series and I would recommend it to every reader.

I really loved this whole series. It had a lot of suspense and I always wanted to know what happened next. Overall pretty good but I thought that the ending was a little confusing and I'm still a little confused about what happened.

So wow... I read spoilers for this book & I was still confused and guessing for 90% of the book. The medium was right when she told the girls, Ali killed Ali. The real Ali (sent to a mental hospital the day our four favorite PLL were in the DiLaurentis' backyard) was out for revenge against her
Show More
twin sister Courtney (who had already spent her whole life in a mental hospital). Courtney is the Ali we knew from books 1-7. Courtney is the girl whose body was really found in the hole. Courtney stole Ali's life that day in the backyard. She had to ditch Ali's old friends, Riley and Naomi, which is why they told Hanna that Ali ditched them for no reason. Courtney didn't know Riley & Naomi, she only knew Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily. It's amazing though, that Mr. & Mrs. DiLaurentis didn't even know they had the wrong daughter all that time. According to Ali, Courtney ruined her life the day she stole Ali's identity with all the choices she made. Hanna, Spencer, Aria, and Emily were all responsible by association and had to pay. Ali had made her sister pay the day of the summer sleepover when she pushed her into that ditch and left her for dead. The girls believe that Ali is dead, after all she didn't make it out of the house when it exploded. At least, not that any of the girls saw. I firmly believe that Ali is still alive and in hiding. Evil like hers doesn't die easily. She has many more lives to ruin, as Laura St. DeLions, before she'll be satisfied. I think Ali waits a few years, changes her name, then comes out of hiding, and plans to destroy more lives. I'm so glad Sara Shepard decided to continue the series with four more books. I can't wait to read about Ali, as Laura's adventures.

A little bit of a cliche, good ending to a series. I'm glad it didn't drag on forever, even if some of the middle novels did drag on a bit.

Oh my God! Ali has a twin sister named Courtney!? And she's the one that Aria rescued from the fire that night!

Now that I got that out of the way...

Wanted is the "last" book in the Pretty Little Liars series. Although this is not true and Shepard even left it open ended. As I already spoiled,

Wanted has Spencer, Hanna, Emily, and Aria learn the biggest secret of all: Ali has a twin sister named Courtney. But this Courtney has an even bigger secret than that. Something that will shatter the Pretty Little Liars once and for all.

This book was amazing! It all tied together wonderfully. I really didn't see that twist coming. I sure as hell didn't the last twist coming at all. It was awesome but it made me feel bad for Spencer, Hanna, Aria, and Emily. Everything they knew was a lie. Bravo Sara Shepard and does anyone else think she might be a little obsessed with twins?

I saw it coming, kinda. The twisted way it happened I didn't see, but the twin thing I saw. I loved Hanna, Hanna and Mike made my day. The whole way through (I died a little when they broke up) If I would have read this originally I would have called another book! But it ties it all up so nicely
Show More
it's a shame to untie it again. (but I'm looking forward to it!)

Fantastic end to the original series. Seriously impressed with how Shepard wrapped it all up and twisted it all around.
