This novel taken directly from the bible gives us a glimpse of Mark’s life. We first meet Mark as he is carrying water to his house which happens to be the upper room where the meeting s of the disciples took place as well as the last supper. Mark is not a believer as yet, and so we see Jesus

through Mark’s skeptical eyes. He follows the crowd and witnesses Jesus crucifixion, Peter’s betrayal, and Jesus reappearances to many. I liked the book and learned more about the culture and about Mark and how he became a disciple well after Christ’s death.

I really liked two of the others, this one just wasn't quite as good. I'm not sure why, maybe just my mood or what I don't know. It was good, just not as great as the others.
