Description

Paul Broadhurst and Hamish Miller, the authors of the influential book The Sun and the Serpent, have spent years researching the Apollo/St Michael line for their new book The Dance of the Dragon. This axis stretches from Ireland, through Cornwall, France, Italy, Greece and Israel, and is marked along the way by sanctuaries dedicated to the Archangel Michael and to Apollo, the Greek God of Light. Paul describes the journey that has led Hamish and himself to uncover a principle that they feel lies at the root of all religion, myth and legend.

Where to start.

A group of dowsers decide to track the line that runs from Skelig Micheal through St Michaels Mount and onwards to Israel following two streams of energy that they identify as Apollo and Athena. Over a few years they do this finding help and blockages along the way both from people

and from physical objects. In a number of instances I'd be irritated at these strange people with metal dowsing rods pushing their way past me too! Some of the leaps of faith and the ethmological groping is a bit much but you have to admire their dedication. They also seem to be hardened euro-skeptics, though their comment that Bureurocracy is a new religion has a certain echo of truth.
