This book starts fast paced and just keeps rolling. I did not want to put this book down. This is book 4 in the Logan Point series and I loved it. This starts in Mexico where Bailey Adams is running from a drug cartel with a friends daughter and then she gets help from her ex fiancé, Danny. Will

things work out in Logan Point or will things go wrong. I received this book from Revell for a fair and honest opinion.

From the moment you turn the first page to the end, you will find each of these people looking over their shoulder, who is the evil one and whom can they trust.
After her ending her quick engagement of one night Baily Adams flees to Chihuahua, Mexico, and when this story begins we are about to

return to the States for a visit. While in Mexico, you can see that God placed her there, and she was following His will. She runs into an evil shaman, who claims to be a priest, who does many things to run her out, and have her stop having the natives follow the bible.
When Bailey returns she is given into her care a precocious four-year-old Maria Montoya, and you will wonder why. When she and Marie become a target, you will be surprised who comes to her rescue, again and again.
Then there is also Angel Guerraro, and is he a person to put your trust in, or is he part of the Cartel. Such evil abounds, and just whom do you trust, and are you making the right decision when you do. Loved how bible verses are used here as clues to their where about when kidnapped. Can you imagine having to carry kidnap insurance, seems to be a common practice in Mexico.
Come and enjoy a great roller coaster ride, and hope the ones we start to care about, come out on top.

For fast-paced romantic suspense, look no further than Patricia Bradley and her newest book in the Logan Point series, Silence in The Dark. Old and new characters return to Logan Point, Mississippi where danger and love combine for a quick and satisfying read.

Bailey Adams runs from complications,

seeing herself as a coward when it comes to tough situations and relationships. Danny Maxwell has never stopped loving Bailey, and when the two are thrown together in Mexico in their attempts to elude drug cartel members, both kidnappers and killers, sparks fly.

Romance and suspense keep this page-turner going. Twists and turns abound and no one is sure just whom to trust. Danger comes from the known and the unknown. Characters are likable, with doubts and fears common to all. In fact, the theme of fear/anxiety/guilt and their power to keep us away from those we love, as well as the God who loves us, runs throughout the book. I especially like that the author points out that keeping our eye on our circumstances and trials, keeps us from trusting in God.

A perfect book to take on your summer getaway, Silence in The Dark is another winner from Patricia Bradley. Please note: Silence in The Dark is book 4 in this series, but can be read as a standalone. But I recommend starting from the beginning — the series is just that good!

Recommended.

Audience: adults.

My rating is 3 stars.
Danny Maxwell is in Mexico looking for clues to the identity of a man who bought stolen rifles from the former chief financial officer of Maxwell Industries. What he didn’t

expect was to run into his former fiancée, Bailey Adams, having breakfast with his main suspect. Upon seeing her, he wonders how she knows this guy. Moments after talking to the couple, gunshots ring out. His first thought is for Bailey’s safety. She escapes the gunfire and he soon realizes he is her only hope of escape. Can he save her and regain her affections as well?
Bailey Adams has been in Mexico almost two years teaching at a missionary school. She sees Danny and immediately remembers her rejection of his proposal. She knows she is good at running away from conflict as that is why she is now escorting a young student back to America to visit her grandparents. A local shaman has taken an instant dislike to Bailey and her work to bring Christ to his small village. He has threatened her verbally as well as with “gifts” left in her car. She has two months left on her teaching contract and doesn’t know what she will do when it is done. As she takes her young charge, Maria, to the restroom, she hears gunshots and her running begins again. She soon realizes that her only hope of getting herself and Maria to the U.S. and safety is Danny. Can she trust him with their lives? Who is out to hurt her and Maria and why? Where is God when she needs him most?
Overall, this was an easy story to read, but it just didn’t hold my attention well. The story jumps from four different characters’ points of view, so readers know what is going on and leaving little to the imagination. It also made the characters less easy to get involved with. Therefore, the romantic aspect of the story fell flat for me. The identity of the antagonist is easy to figure out, and Joel just left me confused as to his real character. I did like the faith element in the story, but Bailey’s and Danny’s faith struggles were not fully developed that were too abrupt or incomplete. The plot was solid and there were some tense moments, but I like more action to my suspense stories.

Calatrava. Now despite her best efforts, Danny is her only chance of escaping the people chasing her and getting back to Logan Point safely. Can Bailey find the strength to face what's coming? And in the midst of the chaos, can she keep herself from falling in love with her rescuer all over again? With lean, fast-paced prose that will keep you turning the pages, Patricia Bradley pens a superb story of suspense and second chances.

Review: Love this series!! Great suspense, I do love a book that takes off with a bang and keeps the tension at a level where you do not know when the next big event will be!! That is what this book did for me. Great to see characters from previous books, the characters are well written and keep the story interesting. I love Danny and Bailey. One of my favorite characters was Angel. He was a great sidekick, that was written well enough to be and equal to Danny. I enjoyed reading all about Robyn’s sister. This entire series is fantastic!

I would like to thank Net Galley and Revell for allowing me to read and review this book in return for a free copy and I was never asked to write a favorable review by anyone.
