Wind Chime Point by Sherryl Woods
This family saga concentrates on Gabriella Castle when she finds herself pregnant and without a job. Love that this is a series that just started and it's real easy to follow
all the lives of those in the story without being so confused. Her boyfriend of 5 years is
Show More
now out of the picture and she's terrified to raise a baby on her own, with no job now.
Emily is back in town for a bit to plan her wedding and Samantha is helping her so they will all get together for more planning.
The story also follows Wade, one of Boone's construction workers that does magic with wood that Gabi had taking a liking to when she was helping with the aftermath of the hurricane damage at her grandmother's restaurant in NC.
Love what the wind chimes have to do with not only the title.
Also Sam's life is in turmoil, her acting career in NY and the girls discuss it and come up with ideas for her to pursue.
One more book in this 3 sisters trilogy set in NC.

Wind Chime Point by Sherryl Woods is the second book in the Ocean Breeze series. I have been lucky enough to read both of them and LOVED both of them. I was very anxious to read Gabi's story because I could see it forming when I read Sand Castle Bay.
Gabriella Castle's world has been turned upside

down. She is having a baby, the father wants nothing to do with the baby or her, and she has lost her job that she has lived for. She goes home to get her life back in order with the help of her Grandmother and sisters. She also finds some assistance in the form of Wade Johnson. I loved Wade, he is such a nice gentleman, caring, kind, loving, and I can't forget handsome. Wade is exactly what Gabi needs. I loved how Wade is able to help Gabi work through her problems by offering her support and not just telling her what she wants to hear.

I loved watching Wade and Gabi's relationship form and grow as they got to know each other better. They are so cute together.

No only is there the fabulous romantic relationship with Gabi and Wade, we also get to see other family relationships grow in this story. The sister's Dad is making an attempt to be a bigger part of their life and I enjoyed that he is putting a foot forward to get to know his grown daughters.

Then there is Cora Jane, Gabi's Grandmother, I adored her in the last book and LOVED her just as much in this story. She is one wonderful woman and grandmother. She is always there to meddle mmm lend a helping hand if any of her family needs it.

If you are like me an enjoy these wonderful family romance stories that involve the family story along with the romance, I think you will enjoy this one. If you have enjoyed reading Sherryl Woods' wonderful work in the past then you simply must check this one out. I have book three in my to read list and I can't wait to see what Sherryl has created for Samantha's story.

When life changes in a twinkling of an eye. Can love prevail?

I was very excited to read Wind Chime Point after reading the first novel in the Ocean Breeze series Sand Castle Bay. Sherryl Woods is a new author for me as of this year and before this Ocean Breeze Series I was unfamiliar with her
Show More
writing. Wind Chime Point is the second book in this series and centers around the middle sister, high-strung and highly motivated Gabriella Castle, aka Gabi.

In the prequel Gabi seemed aloof from her sisters, giving the impression she was holding onto secrets in regards to her relationship with her boyfriend. the one she claimed to have, yet had never introduced to the family. In Wind Chime Point the secrets of that relationship are revealed, when Gabi suddenly feels as if her life is falling apart. Ending up at her grandmother's home Gabi is now reflecting on her short and long-term prospects in regards to the new changes in her life.

In her search for understanding and comfort, Gabi takes everyone's opinions regarding her situation into consideration but when Wade Johnson begins to show an interest in her situation, Gabi slowly warms up to this charming and caring man. Wade Johnson remembers Gabi well, in fact after having worked on her grandmothers restaurant the past Summer, Gabi was one gal he just couldn't keep his eyes off. But that was then, when Gabi claimed to have a steady boyfriend and this is now where Gabi now has no boyfriend and is vulnerable and broken.

I really like the relationship between Gabi and Wade and how it is presented by Woods. Gabi the responsible child, who throws herself completely at whatever comes her way, giving it her full attention, through passion and hard work. And Wade, also a very responsible person with a good head on his shoulders, always looking out for others, caring and considerate, yet very masculine. My best perception of these characters is that Woods presents them as totally human, each having their own flaws and quirky personality traits, that allows the reader to form their own opinions of the character. So far this has been my favorite of the series and I have found Woods did a terrific job with her characters this time around, moving them around at a steady pace, all the while presenting stimulating conversations, relationships and interests for her characters.

Wind Chime Point (Ocean Breeze)book 2

Wind Chime Point is so beautiful in so many ways. The scenery sounds so lovely that it makes me want to go to the beach and watch the waves. The people or cast of characters are so warm and welcoming on the most part. Gabi's family is behind her and some
Show More
are pushing her one way or the other out of love.

Gabriella has always known what she wants and plans it down to a degree. She has had a strong desire to succeed and make her father proud of her. Now her life is in a mess. She realized she is pregnant, told the father and he wants no part of it,told her boss and got fired. Now she is telling her family. She has come to her Grandmother and Sand Castle Bay where she and her sisters spent every summer growing up.

Wade Johnson works with wood. Gabi's grandmother has tried to get them together. Wade realizes it and is attracted to Gabi even though he knows she has a boyfriend. Wade did some work at her cafe after the hurricane did some damage. He comes in daily for pie and a little news of Gabi. When Gabi come into the cafe to see her grandmother and surprised to see Wade. He sees she is pregnant and gets her to sit and talk to him. When he hears that the father is not in the picture, he gets Gabi to agree to go out with him to dinner & a movie as friends.

Gabi is having a hard time making up her mind what to do next. Should she give the baby up for adoption? Get in a new field of work? Ask her father for a job? She lets Wade keep distracting her from making new plans.
Gabi gets the idea that she wants to learn how to make wind chimes.

Emily her sister keeps flying into town to make wedding decisions with her family. She is happy and her fiancée is opening up a new restaurant on the west coast to be with her for now.

Samantha is wondering if she should give up being a actress. She is at a age where it is harder to get good roles. Her Grandmother is finding a guy for her too.

It is a good family to have around when things are out of control. This is a good clean read. The road of discovery that Gabi goes through as she tries to figure what to do with her future. Wade in being a sounding board and letting Gabi find her way but still let her know that he wants to be part of her future is good to see.

I can't wait to see what happens in the third book of this series. I really like Sherryl woods books.
I was given this ebook to read and asked to give honest review by Netgalley.

This was the second book in the series and another enjoyable read.

This was the the story of Gabby and Wade. It was a little different than the normal stories so
it held my interest.

We are still part of the Emily and Boone story - althogh I missed hearing about BJ and it is gearing up for the final
Show More
book in this series, the story of Samantha. Cora Jane continues to have a role in the book.

Again I listed to this book on CD, and I don't get the repeat at the beginning of each disc.

I love this series because of Cora Jane and the sweet small town :)
I have to admit so far I likes the first story better, but I like the characters in the second story better.

Pros: I love what theyre doing for Jimmy in this book.
I like that Gabi is making
Show More
friends in her community.
I love wade and his persistence.
I like that Sam is trying to have a relationship with his daughters.

Cons: I dont like wades backstory with Kayla. it makes him seem kinda creepy with the whole marrying women while theyre preggo. I just would have written it out differently. I understand he had a little thing for Gabi in book one, but for him to be all googly for her when she walks in even with a baby bump, its just kinda weird.

I felt their story drug on, but I kinda liked watching it develop in a way but sometimes I got bored

Now I would still recommend this book and I def. cant wait to read Samanthas story with Ethan :)

I love this town and I am hoping this keeps going on with Meg and Sally as well and not just a trilogy.

A nice light read (#2 in the Ocean Breeze series) with some of the same characters in the first book of the series; however, this one concentrates on Gabbie and Wade - leaving the corporate life, pregnant and divorced and finds solace in this quaint NC coastal town.

Gabriella Castle is driven and ambitious, but also pregnant and unwed. When things fall apart she finds herself again in the welcoming arms of her family and community on the North Carolina coast.

I loved this book just as much as I loved the first one in the series, Sand Castle Bay. Here we have Gabi, the driven one in the family, who is facing the total upending of her life. Instead of looking at a possible vice-presidency in her company and a successful relationship with her boyfriend,
Show More
she is pregnant, her boyfriend has rejected her and the baby, and her conservative company doesn't want anything to do with an unwed mother. Uncertain of what to do, Gabi goes home to Sand Castle Bay and the loving support of her grandmother and sisters.

One of the first people she sees is Wade, the carpenter who had helped with storm repairs in the previous book. There had been some sparks between them that Gabi ignored because she was content with her life. Wade didn't push because he could see that she wasn't interested. But Wade is completely smitten by Gabi and had spent a lot of time just watching her and paying attention. Now he sees his chance and quickly talks her into dinner and a movie as friends - at least for now.

I loved the development of their relationship. Wade is incredibly patient, apparently content to be Gabi's friend for as long as it takes for her to return his feelings. He is an awesome friend, willing to listen without judging, helping her move through her doubts and uncertainty. While he makes it clear that he is her friend, he also lets her know that friendship isn't the only thing on his mind. I loved seeing how well he understood her and offered support without trying to tell her what she should do. Gabi is wary of Wade at the beginning. She has enough on her plate without trying to add a new relationship into the mix. I loved seeing how quickly she became comfortable with him, willing to share thoughts and fears that she doesn't tell anyone else. She isn't quite sure what to do about the attraction between them. She's not sure that she trusts her own feelings, with everything that is going on with her. And she also isn't sure if she can trust that what he feels is real and not just his need to care for the people around him. I enjoyed the slow buildup of her feelings until she finally realized the truth. Her "ah-ha" moment was pretty funny. The ending was sweet and romantic.

I also enjoyed the other assorted relationships. We get more of Emily and Boone as they plan their wedding. The relationships among the three sisters aren't perfect, as each has their own quirks and foibles that sometimes create stress. But the love and support for each other are unmistakable. I also liked the growing relationship between the sisters and their father. He had been distant and hard to please for most of their lives and is now making an effort to be more involved. I loved the scene between him and Wade at the end. I also loved Cora Jane, the girls' meddling grandmother. She is determined to see them all happily married and interferes any way she sees fit. I enjoyed the growing relationship between her and Jerry and laughed at his attempts to keep her from going too far. Wade's relationship with his sister was great. She is older and protective of Wade, which caused a little strain between them when she was less than supportive about his relationship with Gabi. I loved his relationship with his nieces and nephews, which showed his dad-like potential.
