An awe inspiring addition to an amazing series. The plot has become much more complicated, as more and more about the children and their purpose is revealed. However, I felt that parts of this story were thrown in randomly. Parts of the childrens' adventure are so far away from anything I ever
Show More
could have accepted, and I'm concerned about whether or not Patterson will be able to tie it all together.

The group lurch from place to place wondering what's going on, there's an apparent conspiracy about them and they're not sure what's going on. The Voice is egging Max on, she's trying to keep the group together and trying to find out about their pasts.

It's not bad but somehow I don't really care
Show More
enough to search out the next book in the series. If it turned up I might read it but I lack an urge to really search for it.

An excellent follow-on to 'The Angel Experiment'. The Maximum Ride books really grip the imagination.

Max and her flock get into more danger and as usual have their own unique solutions. The glimpses of 'normal' parts of their lives (FBI house & Disneyland) add to the interest and provide a nice
Show More
contrast.

Will Max 'save the world' and live 'happy ever after' with Fang, Iggy, Gassman, Nudge and Angel? Can't wait to find out!

This is the second book in the Maximum Ride series. This is a great book! It's really funny and has many unexpected twists.

This book is a good read.
In this book there are these kids that are science experiments and they are half human and half bird and they are being chased by half human half wolf people so the human-wolf could bring them back to the lab to do more science experiments on them.

The second book in the Maximum Ride series, this picks up right after the first book. Max and the flock have narrowly escaped a pack of Erasers, and Max might have killed Ari who might be her own brother. Together they flee and try to survive on their own, but Max is a little distracted by the
Show More
Voice in her head. The flock finds peace for a while with a seemly kindly woman who turns out to be an FBI agent. Face paced and action packed this book is sure to fly off the shelves (forgive the pun).

I liked the interlude where the bird-kids got to live a somewhat normal life. Although I kept wondering why they weren't being attacked. I never could figure out who was good and who was bad. I was also disappointed by the reunion of one of the kids with parents - sort of anti-climatic.

This was an excellent sequel to The Angel Experiment. The next one should be really good as well!

I liked this book better than the first one. Max's voice is starting to sound more comfortable. This was a really fast, fun, action-packed read. I look forward to the third installment of this series.

Max and the flock met Anne who took them is and brought them to school little did they know who Anne actually was. My favorite part was when Gasman and Iggy stink bombed the boys bathroom.

A second great episode in the Maximum Ride series. Patterson has kept the pace break-neck throughout and the plot twists just keep coming. In some ways, this series reminds me of the TV show Dark Angel (the main character's name is even the same!): action, plot twists, snappy dialogue. I have no
Show More
idea where the series will go next, but it should be interesting.

Welcome back to Maximum Ride-school out forever by James Patterson. I hope you will enjoy the second ride…
For new members for this ride I will give you quick preview from book one. You will ride with 6 mutant kids that running away from the lab that they raised and try to find their real family.
Let me introduce them Max as we known as alpha girl in the crew. And the two oldest boys are Fang and Iggy (blind), also the second oldest girl member on this crew Nudge. Plus we got two blood brothers and Sister Gasman and Angel (the youngest member of the crew and most dangerous one).
On this second book will take place in Washington D.C. and round the D.C. They will face with brand new enemy that can fly like them and stronger than them. Also you will see violence, and love on this book.
If I were you, I would read the book whole night and even more if I have to. This is the number one fiction book on the market right now. The reason why I recommend you this book is, let’s just say, you will not got bored any page of this book…

Stay together Stay Alive Save The World

Adventure, fighting, backstabbing and love abound" (VOYA) in this action-packed follow-up to the #1 New York Times blockbuster MAXIMUM RIDE: THE ANGEL EXPERIMENT. The heart-stopping quest of six winged kids--led by fourteen-year-old Max--to find their parents
Show More
and investigate the mind-blowing mystery of their ultimate destiny continues when they're taken under the wing of an FBI agent and attempt, for the first time, to live "normal" lives. But going to school and making friends doesn't stop them from being relentlessly hunted by sinister spies, who lead Max to face her most frightening match yet: herself......
An strikingly butt kicking novel, featuring a hilarious cast of characters that not only entertains but have wings! After reading Angel Experiment i just to read the next one(School's Out forever). I guess i'm going to be saying that until there is no next one(OH no!!)

School's Out forever was very fast pace. I was hooked after i read the first page. I really enjoyed this book.Max and the Flock, they are all awesome. Iggy and Gassman are just hilarious and devious. They are obsessed with bombs. When a bomb goes off and the ceiling just fell down on you, their just like "that was awesome." Max and Fang..... just never mind. You get to know Ari a lot more(even though he's a "big evil eraser" u just got to luv him) But i still have my questions, like is Max really suppose to "save the world or is it a big game?" who is the voice? so i think those questions will be answered as i keep reading the series.Ultimately the story was awesome. Now i have get the next one....

OMG!!! This is definatly one of my favourite books! In my favourite series, written by one of my favourite author!! It was soooo darn interesting!!! And Fang and Max....they just have to get together!! It's killing me to know that they have feelings for each other, and yet.....nothing's happening!
I hope something will happen in the next book!!!
In this book, the flock are running and hiding...like usual, but then they get attacked by Flying Erasers (what's up with that??!!!) and Fang gets hurt. Of course they end up ini a normal hospital, and gets discovered by and FBI agent, and they go for some time growing like normal children! Read it!! You'll love it!!!

I like the action and the comedy of the book. I always feel like I'm right there with the characters and fighting the bad guys. I like the part when Max was fighting with her clone and bgeating it up to death, but she let it live (that sucked, but other than that awesome). I like how Max was
Show More
showing her leadership over the flock, it really amazed me when she finally knew how a leader is supposed to be. AHS/KS

This book is a high-suspense novel about a group of human-avian hybrids who are escaping a group of scientists and monsters on their quest to find their parents. The characters likable and relatable to some extent, and the dialogue is straight out of B rated superhero movie. The writing is
Show More
horrendous, but understandable as it was created to mimic a 14-yr-old's thought patterns. There are some major plot holes, and the plot is nothing special, and this book itself is kind of redundant and unneccesary. However, this book is sure to interest reluctant readers, especially middle-schoolers.

I really enjoy James Patterson's Maximum Ride Series. This is the second book in the series and the books are quick reads and packed with action, mystery, and sarcasm.

I first fell for the 6 human-avian hybrids while reading While the Wind Blows and The Lake House. These are the same kids and they
Show More
have still escaped a place called The School, but as Patterson points out, most of the similarities between those 2 books and the Maximum Ride Series end there.

There are currently 6 books in the Maximum Ride Series, the latest of which is Fang. Fang is one of the other avain-hybrids in "the flock," and is the same age as Max. I have entered to win an ARC of Fang and I hope I get it!

I am on to the third installment of the series right now, which is called Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports- a much more clever title than this book's. No offense Mr. Patterson.

I read also that in the movie version of Maximum Ride, Kristen Stewart is slated to play Max and Robert Pattinson is to play Fang.

Um, can we say EPIC FAIL?!?

What are they thinking? First of all, they messed up by putting Pattinson in Twilight, as he was supposed to be this other-worldly hot and beautiful, which Pattinson clearly is not. Then once again, they are going to put him and Stewart in to the roles of 2 more supposedly gorgeous and perfectly created creatures? Have they even SEEN Stewart and Pattinson?? Plus they have the Twilight director on board. Do not put them all into another franchise together. It will all roll into one big heaping ball of stupid and ruin another series of books. You won't even be able to tell the two series apart.

I enjoyed this book every bit as much as I did the first one. The characters are a lot of fun to read and often have me chuckling out loud. Evil twins and voices in your head? Who ever said being 14 was easy?

This sequel was very enjoyable in the fluffy, actiony department just as the first book of the series was. Max and the gang are still on the run and looking for their parents but not a lot of plot progress was made in this department. We learned a little more but it was more about action than
Show More
development. I don't think this is a bad thing because this storyline is precisely what I'm looking for, something fast moving and engrossing without a lot of emotion. It does have just a little enough UST (very light because, lets face it, they are only 14, even if they act older) between Max and Fang to keep me interested without being romancy at all which would completely drive me away from the story right now.

I'm really looking forward to reading the next installment and hate waiting.

Pretty much the same as the first book - fun, fast paced, full of action and intrigue. I'm a little disappointed that there still aren't answers to the story's many mysteries, but it ensures that I'll read the next book. I hope it's as entertaining as the first two.

Great new series by James Patterson! I was looking for a series to interest my daughter in reading and I ended up reading them all myself before I passed them along. Safe for younger readers, a lot of action type violence but very little gore, with a pinch of romantic angst built in. I enjoyed
Show More
them, and so did my 11 year old daughter.

A good sequel to the Maximum Ride: Angel Experiment where many of our questions are answered, but not all. I wonder if there may be a third installment of this series.
LibraryThing member slightlyfan
I love this series! It is so fast paced and fun to read.

I love the characters and their powers. They yet again travel in this novel, much like the last one. Yet, this time they go to Florida, among other places.

I thought it did get a little long in the middle when they had to go to school and was
Show More
living at that ladies house.

I thought it ended a little wierd, not knowing there will be a third installation to this series. I really hope he ties things together and lets it end well.

This book was action packed, as is expected from James Patterson. The ending of the book makes you want to read the next. The only complaint I still have is the short chapters. The story line keeps getting better and even more interesting.
