This is the third novel in the Year-of-the-Scarab trilogy. For White Wolf's World of Darkness games Hunter the Reckoning and Mummy the Resurrection and Wraith the Oblivion with strong ties in this one to Vampire the Masquerade.

and some of them are getting tired of it. He has stolen an ancient artifact that he hopes will help restore him back to the living and he has quite a few people pissed at him and would like to prevent such. It's a race to the end and everyone is wondering who to trust and who is more ignorant of the situation than themselves.

I really enjoyed the trilogy and this was on the better half of the stories put out by White Wolf as fiction for their games.
