Description

Fantasy. Fiction. Romance. HTML: SHE'D LIKE HER BLOOD BOTTLED, PLEASE! The sassiest vampire in all of Manhattan, Lil Marchette, is the owner of Dead End Dating--a matchmaking service for hip, intelligent singles like herself. After only three months, business is booming, and she can finally pay her bills (or, more important, feed a hungry cosmetics addiction). But when one of her clients turns up dead (as in never coming back), Lil is named as the prime suspect. Murder? Sure, she's a vampire, but she can't even work up her nerve when it comes to blood-sucking. Hacking somebody to pieces is so out of the question. To make matters worse, Lil must also contend with a pack of werewolves who ask--no, demand--that she find each one a tall, dark, and handsome mate before the next full moon. Plus, the to-die-for-if-I wasn't-already-dead Ty Bonner, a lusciously sexy lover but totally unsuitable eternity mate, is never far from her midnight fantasies. But Lil has no time for such thoughts. She must prove her innocence and focus on pairing off the dead and the furry--and maybe stake a claim to her own tasty true love. "Kimberly Raye is hot, hot, hot!" --Vicki Lewis Thompson, author of Nerds Like It Hot From the Paperback edition..… (more)

Ok, I liked this book quite a bit. Lil is a trip, and Raye has come along way since the first book in fleshing out Lil's character. She isn't quite so much a MJD Betsy clone in this one. I laughed out loud in several parts, and the pace definitely remained a page turner. Once again, nothing too

deep here, some pretty good chuckles, and an entertaining heroine. I'm planning on purchasing "Your Coffin or Mine" if that says anything.

This was the second book in the Dead End Dating series. It was another light read with a little mystery, a little more romance, and a lot of humor. I don't think I liked it quite as much as the first one, but I still enjoyed it.

This was a fun little bit of fluff. A good, quick read.

I was not overly impressed with the first Dead End Dating book, and this one didn't bring much more to the table. Lil is, nicely put, not really my kind of person. Often times I get along great with people who are not my kind of people, but Lil...just isn't my type.

She's not so smart. Like, at

all.

The plot was very poorly executed. In the beginning, Lil is declared wanted for murder, so she goes into "hiding." At the end, they catch the real murderer in about one page, with very little lead up, clues, or detective work. Honestly, it's just dead boring.

The most I can say is that it's a somewhat humorous diversion from real life. It's not terribly hard to follow the story and forget about real life for a while. The downside is that it's not really a great story to get lost in.
