Description

A Rare Live Stephen King Recording! Stephen King delivers a haunting, heartfelt performance as he shares a story about the bonds between husbands, wives and pets. LT has a theory about pets, particularly his Siamese cat. It had been their cat not just his cat, but that was until he came home one day to a note on the fridge. His wife had left him. The cat stayed behind... Recorded live at London's Royal Festival Hall, LT's Theory of Pets demonstrates yet again that Stephen King is a master storyteller.

I really liked listening to this audio book. This was read by Stephen King himself and has a much lighter, more humorous quality to it. (But then those of us who know Stephen King realize something must go horrifically wrong before the end!) It is not a full novel, in fact barely a short story, but

still quite entertaining.

Read by the author this one shows the humorous side of Stephen King.

This was a really fun audio book to listen to. Stephen King does a good job with the reading, he has a real sense of comic timing, and his characterization of LT is great. As expected, even Stephen King's comedic writing ends up having its dark side.

This was much funnier than most King stories! I actually chuckled aloud several times as I listened! Lots of bad language, but totally within the character of LT, and again, often pretty dang funny! It's all about marriage, and pets, and, well, storytelling itself. LT's actual theory isn't very

good, but the story, until the end, is! The end left me completely unsatisfied, which is why I only gave it 3 stars. But it is well worth the listen, and it's pretty cool to hear it in its author's own voice!

I agree with the reviews that praise the storytelling and humor and skill of delivery, however, I did not particularly like the end of the story or offensive language. Cat's name was wonderful.
