This book is full of interesting facts about chameleons. The facts are found in smaller print, almost like a caption. There is a boy telling a story about chameleons that is full of information, too. The pictures are very colorful and interesting.

I liked this book for two reasons. One reason I liked this book was because of the writing. Often times informational books can be boring. The way the author wrote this book made the information interesting and engaging. The information also flowed together so it didn't seem like there were just

random facts thrown together. I also liked how there were little fun facts by certain pictures that weren't necessarily part of the main text, but it was a nice extra textual feature to have. Another reason why I liked this book was for the illustrations. They were very colorful and detailed. The illustrations gave you very nice visuals that helped you really see what the author is talking about. For example, when the author talks about the different sizes of chameleons, there was a picture of the smallest one on the tip of a pink finger. It really makes you see the size versus trying to just picture it in your head. Overall, I think that the main message of this book was to inform you about chameleons and all the interesting facts about them.

A non-fiction picture book about chameleons written from a very personal viewpoint, mixing fact with feelings, encouraging children to think, feel and imagine as they learn.
