I love that any child that has ever had to sit for an extend time can relate to this book. I had never read it before, but now that I have, I plan to purchase my own and share it with my children.

Braids! tells the story of Ashley, a young girl who does NOT want her hair braided. After a mad dash around the house, Ashley's mom catches her and braids her hair. After that, Ashley's grandmother catches HER daughter and braids her hair. Even Ashley's teacher gets a turn! The book does not have

any kind of profound message, but it's really funny and something I think most people with long hair can relate too (I wouldn't know because I've had short hair my whole life).
