Not for storytime, but for wordless/write your own story project. Just illustrations of a child's bedtime routine.

Pre-k to 2nd grade would enjoy looking at the sequencing and routine of a family's daily evening. The pictures in the book will guide the child through an daily evening routine. Older children may be able to inact/ create there own dialogue of what happens durning their daily evening at home.

Moonlight by Jan Ormerod is a picture book. It is a great book to use for children to look at the pictures, and make up their own story about what they see going on in the illustrations. They can change the story up as many times as they like, and they can probably relate to the story as well. It

is a story of a little girl that is eating dinner then she goes and takes her bath, and puts her pajamas on and gets in bed. When she gets in bed her dad reads her a story and tell her goodnight. She gets up numerous times before she goes to sleep to get a drink of water, love on her daddy who eventually falls asleep, and then she goes and reads a book with her mommy on the couch until the daddy wakes up and notices the two of them on the couch together and puts the little girl in bed.

Simply charming, but not the reason I fell in love with Ormerod's work. I hope mom and dad have some energy left at some point each week to pay attention to each other - this little girl is almost over-indulged.
