This book allows the reader to learn about the life of a honeybee. The honeybee takes us on the many journeys that she goes through in one day. This book would be great to have in the classroom because it is a fun, moving picture book. Though this is a good book, it is not one of Eric Carle's best

The classic love of a bear for his honey takes the reader on the journey of a bee and how the honey is made. Fun interactive pop up book and beautifully illustrated.

Eric Carle creates an adventurous story with a honeybee and a bear. The bear comes looking for honey, he attempts to rob the beehive but the bees defend their home. Eric Carle brings this book to life by creating pull tabs on each page for young readers to pull. The pull tabs allow children to

entire beehive was amazed at the amount of nectar that the honeybee had collected when all of a sudden a robber shook the hive. A bear had found them and was trying to get their honey. All of the bees flew out and stung the bear on the nose, which made the robber run away.
Commentary: This would be a fun book to read to the class to show them that insects are constantly in danger, whether it is from a bear, frog or bird. Many things try to eat bugs which helps them to understand that this is the circle of life.
