rhyme and guides the reader to help sort Packy’s piles of things based on characteristics. The bright illustrations are symmetrical to the text, telling the same story. The vivid double page spreads of this concept book makes it fast paced for the reader. Help Packy sort his things, but watch out for his sneaky sister, she likes to borrow stuff from time to time without warning.
This book is perfect for introducing the science process skill of classification as early as preschool up to second grade. There are several fun activities located at the end of the book. There is also Packy’s sorting cards that can be photocopied and cut up for children to practice sorting, categorizing and classifying. This is a fun book and I recommend it.
