Words to describe this book are gross, scary, and disturbing. This is filled with real information on nasty insects that you wouldn’t want to see or think about. Children would love it.

This is a great informational book about different abnormal bugs that are found all around the world. There are a lot of different pictures that draw the reader into the text. It could be utilized in a first through fourth grade classroom. Older students (fourth and possibly third graders) could

utilize it for independent reading. The book is a great way to address the topic of insects or provide strange animal information when studying a certain area of the world. The book discusses insects from Africa, South America, and Asia, while lightly discussing bugs from the other continents. The book has a lot of facts and is a great way for students to find interest in reading non-fiction books. It is a great introductory piece.
