Amelia Bedelia and the Baby by Peggy Parish is one of the stories from the Amelia Bedelia series in which Amelia babysits her friend's baby. The story is a very funny one because Amelia Bedelia gets very confused about her friend's instructions and does not act like a normal babysitter. This is a

great book for beginning readers because it is simple enough but harder than a regular picture book. This transition book does include colorful pictures to go along with the text, which is great for young readers. It is a book that children will enjoy reading because it will make them laugh at Amelia Bedelia's crazy way of thinking.

Amelia Bedelia and the Baby is a book about a lady name Amelia who goes over to babysit Mrs. Lane's baby. She is given a list of times and things to do with the baby during that time. Instead Amelia thinks it is a schedule of what she is suppose to be doing for herself. She follows the shedule to

the tee. when the baby's parents return mrs. Lane is outraged because Amelia has given the baby catsup and strawberry tarts. Mr. Lane tries the tarts and finds that they are delicious and meanwhile the baby begins to cry for Amelia. Mrs. lane realizes Amelia is not so bad after all and invites her to come back to babysit again.

I enjoyed this book. It was very funny and it made me laugh from beginning to end.

This book can be read while children are playing house. During discussion can ask the childern to talk about instances they have had with their babysitter, and they can draw picture of their younger siblingsd.

This book is about a woman who usually babysits children but gets asked to babysit a baby. She said she does not know how, but ends up babysitting the baby anyways. She has a list to go by and takes the list to heart. She then does things like plays with toys herself. She does a good job at

babysitting the baby and gets asked to come back.

This book was cute and funny. I thought the pictures went really well with the story. This book was a good book to read to a classroom and even easy to read.

This would be a good book to refer to a child to read if they have a new baby sister or brother. This book could make having a new baby brother or sister funny.

I have always loved Amelia Bedeilia books and I believe this is a great book to read to children before bed. It is always fun to laugh with your child and watching her babysitting adventures is nothing but hilarious. I like that Peggy Parish uses illustrations to help capture all of Amelia's

mishaps. Definitely a great read.

This would also be a great book to use in the classroom because of its humor. If it seems that all your kids are in a bad or cranky mood that day, you can liven it up with this babysitting adventure from Amelia Bedilia!

It’s my opinion that every kid’s library should have at least one Amelia Bedelia book, and this one was a particular favorite of mine growing up. In this book, the literal-minded Amelia tries her hand at babysitting and, as usual, misinterprets a number of her instructions. However, baby is

safe and well at the end, and Amelia soothes all ruffled feathers with her excellent baking skills. Lynn Sweat’s illustrations, simple as they are, never fail to delight. I could be wrong, but it seems that Amelia Bedelia is one of those rare characters that transcend “boys’ books” and “girls’ books.”

This has been one of my favorite books since I was little. The hilarity of Amelia Bedelia doing exactly what she is told even when it is clearly the incorrect thing to do is entertaining. This writing style is by far my favorite.

This simple easy reader book is short and sweet: Amelia gets roped into taking care of a baby and finds that she does not know anything about it. As usual, she bakes a treat that wins over her employers, and of course the baby love sweet Amelia. The illustrations are fun and charming, line drawings
