siblings, etc. It covers all of the bases for family structures in simple sentences which can help students develop sight words. It also follows a pattern and rhymes which means it can be great to use for choral reading or for teaching the concepts of rhyme. The message it sends is that even though families may look different in different houses, a family is any group of people who love each other. Show Less

Such a great book about what a family is and how everyone’s is different. If there is a family combination not mentioned in this book, I am not sure what it is. And I love how the illustrator mixes illustrations with photos. It all works out to be a great book for home or for storytime.
