I've been reading a ton of civil rights biographies written for kids lately (picture book through YA) and so if I say this is a perfectly serviceable civil rights biography written for kids, it's no slight on the book. It's solid.

One thing I

particularly noticed is its great use of primary source documents. Really punch you in the gut, they do, and make the story much more lively.
