Curricular Connections-- Some of the content in the poem was for mature readers. It would been an excellent source for a high school read aloud or to use for a guidance lesson. Students could also created a personal poem and design artwork for each other.
For anyone who needs a boost of self esteem, or to give someone a hug in the form of a book, To This Day is a good choice. It's the right balance between uplifting and realistic.
