Discovery of doom! Walt Lockwood stumbles on a momentous find while working on his PhD in Astronomy. A comet of galactic proportions will shortly engulf the earth...depriving it of all sunlight. Diane wants to be with family in the lifeboat cave the couple started in Iowa, some 1300 miles away from Walt's saltmine. She forces her Iowa family to not reveal to Walt that she is there. With only hours until comet-fall Walt finally locates her and races across the country to join her.A deadly car accident, the violent effects of the comet and their lover's quarrels bring a suspenseful tragic ending to their story.… (more)
