In all of his multimedia works notably paintings, prints, collages and installations, Bose consistently depicted subjects as varied as the Spanish-American colonization of the Philippines, the Philippine-American War, racism, nationalism, tribal extinction, colonial issues of identity, subjects which even many of his contemporaries seemed to be oblivious to and/or were disinclined to tackle.'
