Her recent works feature casually arranged but meticulously detailed pictures, often of mass market and popular culture advertisements, posters, book paes, LP album and magazine covers that date predominantly from the 1970's and early 80's. Collier's focus on this 'near past' carefully navigates thematics of self-representation,portraiture and biography while addressing the pervasive but precarious nature of photography itself.'
