This is a newspaper-format brochure about Cao Fei's project for 'Zones of Contact', the 2006 Sydney Biennale, held from June 8 - August 27, 2006.
As part of the series "What are they doing here?" which Cao did for the Siemens Art Program, this project engages with employees of Osram China Lighting
'Most of the workers left their hometowns in pursuit of their ideal and dream in the PRD area, and we focus onm the innermost feelings of every individual in this globalized production chain... We place them at the centre of attention, so as to let them rediscover their personal value which are often neglected during the process of creating huge business value. The purpose of this program is to build a platform for equal conversation...'
