Description: In a remote canyon in Northern New Mexico, the early morning stillness is broken by voices chanting praises to the Lord. Thus begins the daily cycle in the life of the Benedictine monks at the Monastery of Christ in the Desert. Seeking God is a tapestry of the daily life of the monks, interwoven with seasonal changes and celebrations, along with hauntingly beautiful chants and songs of praise and reverence. -- from box

Library's review
Documentary of the daily life of the Benedictine monks of the Monastery of Christ in the Desert in Abiquiu, N.M. After reading about the retreat center, and enjoying this film, Joel and I visited this monastery a few years back. It's lovely and a wonderful place for a personal retreat. --Jennifer
