Description: The Summary of Religious Knowledge contains two sets of seven chapters in which the Shaikh deals concisely with both the outer and inner dimensions of the religion of Islam. Included also, as an appendix, are a set of eighteen sermons, or discourses, named Pearls of the Heart in which the Shaikh addresses topics of vital interest to the sincere seeker on the path of Truth, regarding his or her relationship with the Lord of All the Worlds. The rendering into English of Summary of Religious Knowledge from the original Arabic manuscript obtained from the Vatican collection, and the translation from the Turkish of the eighteen sermons of Pearls of the Heart is the work of Muhtar Holland, whose English translations include valuable and never perviously translated original works, including the writings of Shaikh 'Abd al-Qadir.
