Description: The Lion's Roar, or Sri-Mala-sutra, has had a long and remarkably successful career as a Mahayana Buddhist scripture. A one-time influential Mahayana scripture in China, it presumably was a source for the classic Awakening of Faith. Through Korea the work entered into the beginnings of Buddhism in Japan and has been important there down through the centuries.
