Description: Denise: Circle of Blessings is a documentary about the last 3 months of Denise Thorton's life. At age 49, Denise was diagnosed with stage–four, metastasized cancer. During the remaining 3 years of her life, Denise not only defied her initial prognosis of 6 months to live, she embraced her illness as a spiritual path and a way of sharing her life with others.
In this 60–minute film, we are included in the circle of blessings with family and friends as Denise shares her thoughts about her Buddhist faith, about love, letting go, and dying. A brave and charismatic woman, Denise was a unique individual with much to teach about living and dying with grace and dignity.
This film is perfect for: hospice care, palliative care, Buddhist and of life care, training for end-of-life caregivers, training family caregivers, advanced cancer care.
“It is a beautiful piece of work, in I am grateful to you, Denise, and her family. I want to show it in my classes.”––Dale Asrael, Buddhist minister and care faculty at Naropa University.
