Description: At the heart of human experience is the search for meaning. We can choose to identify ourselves with meaning -- the seed of all nature and the essence of immortality -- or we can identify ourselves with existence, the fruit of nature subject to eventual decay.
Without regard for good and evit, modern man seeks relationships and situations that will provoke his own inner transformation. This search evokes the self-destructive forces of nature and the dark side of man's existence in an encounter that causes him to lose all sense of meaning.
The Field of Transformations is both inspired by and a commentary on an ancient Egyptian sacred text: Revelation of the Soul of Shu, translated here by Bika Reed. Its major theme is the bond between existence and meaning, a bond that leads to an experience of certitude and joy.
As corn awakens from its field, so meaning awakens from within human awareness. -- from back cover.
