Description: Realizing Confidence reveals the intimate process of a student and teacher working together to create an extraordinary work of spiritual art.
In Autumn 2003, Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche commissioned master painter Cynthia Moku to paint a Rigden king image. While many images of the twenty-five Rigdens of Shambhala have been produced in the past, this commission was for a primordial Rigden image, an image of the essence of the Rigdens; something that has never before been painted. For over eighteen months Cynthia Moku worked closely with the Sakyong to establish the overall tone, posture, seat, and iconography of this unique piece.
This DVD includes comments by the Sakyong on elements of the tangka as well as remarks by Cynthia Moku. Directed by Johanna Lunn Montgomery. -- from publisher
