Description: Armen Chakmakian, pianist/keyboardist from the Grammy-Award winning band Shadowfax, creates a tapestry of captivating and vibrant sounds on his debut solo release, "Ceremonies". This album is a celebration of music that crosses genres and cultural boundaries striking a common chord within each of us. His signature sound is a masterful weave of passionate piano, with Armenian and Middle-Eastern flavors, exotic world rhythms, and jazz textures. To create this rich and rhythmic synergy, he has assembled an array of stellar instrumentalists including Djivan Gasparyan, Alex de Grassi, Greg Ellis (Vas), John Bilezikjian and members of Shadowfax.
