Description: Man's existence is a lamp blowing in the wind; the young man being the morning lamp, and the old man the lamp of evening. Man's life is no different than the lamp in high wind that is a the mercy of gusts. Man reaches the next life in the wink of an eye.
The matter of man's existence is the same as that of the tear that is absorbed into the ground with the wink of an eye. It has been said that life is valueless without death.
Death does not forget us even though we forget and stay oblivious of it. Death is eternal and will always prevail; everything of this world constantly reminds us of death even though we forget.
This book serves as guidance and reminder to us that our lives are very short and we need to spend them in the service of Allah. -- from publisher
