Description
An instructional book that brings the spirit of joy and generosity of THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT alive for both new and seasoned quilters. Gail de Marcken, illustrator of the award-winning bestseller THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT, used thirty-nine beautiful quilt patterns to decorate the story, celebrating not only generosity of spirit, but also the joy of quiltmaking. QUILTS FROM THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT included instructions for twenty of the patterns for both novice and seasoned quilters. MORE QUILTS FROM THE QUILTMAKER'S GIFT provides instructions for the final nineteen quilts.

This book is the second companion book for "The Quiltmaker's Gift," about a mythical quiltmaker who makes beautiful quilts and then gives them away to the poor and homeless. The first companion was issued because so many people were asking for the patterns to the quilts in the story book. This

second book adds 19 new patterns, and has a similar format to the first book. The quilt projects range from beginner to advanced, and the instructions are easy to follow. Like its predecessor this book is visually exciting, with each project starting with an illustration from the story, and a little bit of the story text. I also liked the little bit of history they give about each block. Show Less
